Challenge
When the founding partners at LODH Private Equity - the private equity arm of Swiss private bank Lombard Odier - conducted a buy-out, they engaged us to help them create a brand that would differentiate the business and win recognition from investors.
Strategic Insight
A brand that has the support of major stakeholders is critical in the private equity sector (see "Rebranding Private Equity" in Knowledge Bank).
We familiarised ourselves with the company’s values and strategy in workshops with its founders and conducted interviews with investors. By consulting with investors, we confirmed that Akina’s brand attributes would position and differentiate the company successfully in this highly competitive market.
Creative Solution
With our brand strategy confirmed, we began the creative work for the new identity. The new name, strapline and brand identity were applied within our designs for Akina’s website, marketing collateral and stationery.
Results
We developed and designed a new private equity brand and delivered key marketing collateral within a tight timetable, capturing the firm’s dynamic personality with a distinctive name and visual identity.
