Challenge
A newly-demerged world leader in seabed-to-surface engineering and construction for the energy industry asked us to create a new name, logo, strapline and marketing collateral.
Strategic Insight
The company is about people working with technology in the harshest conditions. Its new brand needed to reflect its heritage of engineering excellence and help to build a closer, more personal relationship with its stakeholders.
Creative Solution
The name and strapline we created suggest excellence and the company’s market: the energy industry. Hard-edged visual styling and photographs of Acergy’s people reflect the combination of technological and relationship-building skills that the company offers.
Results
Acergy has been re-invented. Its new name, logo, strapline, copywriting style and visual identity create a brand that can be used on the sides of giant vessels as well as in print and online.
In 2011 Acergy merged with Subsea7 to create Subsea 7 S.A.
